April 22nd Event Added
Come orienteer LAOCs inaugural event at Lake Balboa in the Sepulveda Basin. The location offers flat terrain with one-contour hills. Bull Creek cuts the park from north to south. The eastern side is developed park with the lake as a fun obstacle. The western side has a trail network with bridges through a native plant restoration area, as well as a Japanese cherry tree grove. The trees had begun to blossom in early March. This is a new map created by Rex Winterbottom, Don Sieveke, Scott Schmitz and Sue Dekany in early March at 1:5000 scale.
The course setters are Kim and Allan Pincus.
Check back here in early April for details on the course offerings and to register!
