Potluck will be ~6pm on Saturday. Hamburgers will be provided for those who have noted they will be attending. Bring a dish to share for sides.

Forecast is for sunny skies but be prepared for thundershowers.

Attention! Error on group camp #- we are group camp # 2- the one closest to Mt Pinos road.

Please join us for a beautiful weekend in the mountains of the Los Padres National Forest. Mt. Pinos is wonderful orienteering venue with a very runnable forest of pine trees and wildflowers. It is between 6,000 & 8,000 ft in elevation so keep that in mind while participating. Bring plenty of water as it can get warm. There has been very little rain in this area in past years so it is very dry. Please be extra careful with fire. Check the forest service website for restrictions.

Camping will be available in group camp #2 in the McGill campground. It is first come first serve, so come early. There is plenty of room for tents but only 10 cars. There is additional parking outside the campground. There are other campsites in the area, please check the forest service website for details and reservations. Recreation.gov has some campground information and reservations can be made online.

Saturday night is traditionally a potluck BBQ. Please bring a dish to share, we will provide a main course such as hamburgers or sometimes a brisket. Please indicate on your registration if you plan on participating in the Potluck. I would like to have a rough head count for planning purposes.

Registration is open! Look for the link below.

Course statistics are below. These are subject to change but will not vary by much. Courses offere are Whellow - Red. For both days. A Whellow is a white course that gradually becomes a yellow. This is a made up name and has no official place in orienteering. Dave thought it would be fun!

In TempO participants sit at a viewing station and solve multiple problems as quickly as possible. In PreO participants walk through a course and solve problems as accurately as possible.
