National Orienteering Week - Lake Balboa
September 20, 2015
Sunday
Are you new to the sport of orienteering? Or do you just need to brush up on some skills? Do you like to get out in the open and either run or walk but are tired of the same scenery around your neighborhood? Would you like to challenge your mind and your body? Try orienteering!
Come celebrate National Orienteering Week with us at Lake Balboa in Van Nuys. This event will be a great introduction to the sport and is especially geared towards newcomers. Families are welcome!
This will be a Score-O style event with additional "fun" courses that will help with reading map features, contouring, pace counting and compass work.
One entry fee will cover all of the courses.
Volunteers are needed. Please contact the event director if you would like to volunteer for this event.
