Topanga State Park - National Orienteering Week Event

September 14, 2014

Join us at Topanga State Park to celebrate National Orienteering Week. This event will have plenty of fun for those new to the sport along with door prizes furnished by Orienteering USA.

Find out how exciting the sport of orienteering is Have a blast hiking and navigating in the chaparral. Come by yourself or bring your friends and family. Any way you try it, you'll find "O" is the way to go.

Whether your goal is to discover a new sport and seek a course record, to learn a new way to practice outdoor map-reading and compass skills, or simply to take a purposeful walk in the woods with a friend, orienteering is a great choice.

Each of our NOW events features newcomer instruction. When you show up, just look for one of the local club members who will be most willing to get you started.

Temperatures are expected to be hot, so dress accordingly. Bring a compass, if you have one, or rent one at the event.

We are offering these three courses.

Orange (11 controls) 3.7 km

We hope to see you there.
