Vasquez Rocks

December 6, 2015

Only 25 esticks left for day of event registrants. Once these are assigned we will close registration to those without an estick. At 11:30am we will release esticks that had been reserved for non-paid preregistrants to anyone waiting.

Remember that registration and starts are open until Noon (courses will close at 2:30). To avoid crowds, it is recommended that you arrive later than 10:30am. The lines are always the longest when registration opens at 9:30am.

Vasquez Rocks is always a highlight of the winter orienteering season. Technical challenge and beautiful vistas await. Standard point-to-point courses are planned.

After control pickup, the Board will be meeting at Big Mouth Pizza in Agua Dulce. Board meetings are open, all members are welcome to attend.

Vegetation warning: In addition to the usual hard scrub and yucca throughout the park on all courses, Green, Red, and Blue will enter the southern burned area of the park. This area is covered with prickly tumbleweed like vegetation. Appropriate leg covering is advised for all participants.
